Cold Nights Ahead

This post has nothing to do with the cold. In fact, it's just the opposite. True, cold nights are ahead of us (to those of you who live in the Midwest!) but this post revolves around my trip to the west side.. which happened in October. *ahem*, I know I'm horrible at staying current in the blog world but please bear with me. :) I'll promise to keep posting!

So, as I was saying.. I took an impromptu mini getaway with my manfriend to the lovely SoCal to visit family, friends, and the glamorous cities. We were in Los Angeles, Santa Monica, and OC the majority of the time. Here are some photos of our quick trip, unedited.

GR Artprize 2011

As the whole world may or may not know, Grand Rapids Art Prize occurred Sept 21 through Oct 9 this year.

It's nice to see GR so full of life with people filling the sidewalks, buildings, and indulging in our city's culture, unique art pieces - some great and some questionable. hehe.

Rough Sketches

My best friend Chelsea and I have made an oath to explore our hidden talents (anything and everything) at least once a week. Chelsea's also known as the lady behind Chi-tography. :)

A few weeks ago we raided our ancient art materials, sketchbooks, and drew inspiration from various fashion magazines (mostly W) I had lying around my room.

The result?...

 I tie leopard print and anything high-end to the lovely ADR.
